Paul Allen, Founder
A graduate from The Culinary Institute of America in New York, Paul Allen brings over 10 years of culinary experience. Before starting Eat Real Food, Paul worked as a full-time yacht chef for superyacht owners in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, where he used local ingredients of the highest quality. He launched his own catering company located in his hometown of Kimberling City, Missouri, where he provides an organic solution for events in the area. His catering company, Da Barefoot Chef LLC catered the cast and crew of Oscar nominee Winter's Bone while shooting on location in the Ozarks. It was during his tenure as a yacht chef when Paul Allen realized his calling as an activist and started to pursue his vision of all people having access to natural, organic, quality food. Through his non-profit, Eat Real Food, Paul helps individuals, food establishments and entire communities be self sufficient through innovative and sustainable practices for growing organically, and promoting healthier food choices in the kitchen. Paul Allen continues to work as a yacht chef but when he's not cooking at sea you can find him planting a vegetable garden for a neighbor, or helping his community of farmers. Email Pauly.
Sarah Garoutte, Operations MANAGER
Prior Eat Real Food, Sarah worked in retail and business management. The birth of her daughter was her inspiration for starting her own business and becoming a stay at home parent. Her goal is to provide the healthiest lifestyle for her daughter and help other mothers on their journey of parenting. Sarah leads research for Baby Mommas, an online community promoting natural ways to heal and prevent illnesses, organic feeding, nursing and the facts about vaccinations. She's been running Eat Real Food's operations since 2009 as a part-time employee. She manages the packaging and distribution of Eat Real Food's organic fruit bags for luxury resorts in southern Missouri, as well as accounting, administration, produce deliveries, tracking of volunteer service hours and on-site event logistics. The most rewarding part of her job is having the opportunity to bring her daughter to work, while helping educate communities about organic living. Email Sarah.
